This is a wonderful cafe with nice staff serving in a spacious interior. Great latte art on my latte dedicated with a complimentary tiny madeline and a warmed croissant. It is very good.
I can taste happiness. The barista was so focused while making this cup—gently holding it with his left hand, patiently frothing the milk and crafting the latte art little by little, until a unicorn slowly came to life. Every movement was soft and elegant, the kind that makes you want to keep watching. When he finished, he quietly said “perfect,” and personally handed it to me. In that moment, I felt so, so happy—as if what I received wasn’t just a drink, but a piece of genuine care and intention. Wishing him endless good luck🫶
Cute little coffee shop. Loved the lattes - especially my blue pea blossom. Service was great. Only minor detail is that it was a bit on the cold side. Loved the K-Pop playing in the background. Overall, I would definitely go back!
The Stae Bagel was hands down the best bagel I have ever eaten! The balance between the flavours all work so well together! Stae cafe is a local family owned restaurant that brings high quality food and coffee to the neighbourhood.
Overall rating is a 10. Location is on a street with stores and it is the first one in a bunch of stores. Parking is ample. staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Food quality is amazing. The prices are a little bit higher but once again reasonable. Overall experience nothing less than dynamite. Cleanliness is A+. I would recommend this place without hesitation.
We were looking for a local cafe to work and stumbled upon this gem. My friend and I purchased the chill avo toast and it was seasoned perfectly. There was a crunch and a kick to the toast and it paired really well with the marinated egg. We also got the ube latte and Spanish latte (half-sweet). Both tasted really good and the latte art was a heartfelt added touch. There is a 75 minute seat limit. We got there around 9:30 am on a weekday and it filled up within the hour. Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting!
What a lovely café! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was friendly and attentive, and the Stae bagel was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. A great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. I’ll definitely be back!
I’d rate them 4.5/5 Cozy cafe where you can also work with your laptop. There’s about 18 seatings. Got Strawberry Matcha Latte & Ikuyo Matcha Latte. They were good, definitely not bad but not amazing considering the price & size. There’s street parking available, and actually was pretty easy to find empty ones.
Lovely hidden gem in Markham, especially if you’re visiting Rouge National Urban Park nearby. The café has a beautiful minimalist interior and a warm neighborhood feel. We tried the STAE Bagel, Poké Toast, Spanish Latte and Jasmine Pear Matcha — all were excellent. The Poké Toast was especially creative and flavorful, and the Jasmine Pear Matcha was refreshing and unique. Coffee prices were reasonable ($6–7), while the food felt more like elevated light brunch than a full meal, but quality was great. Thoughtful food, creative drinks, and a space with real aesthetic charm. Would happily come back.
